Honda Mall of GA is a bad dealership

The original review of Honda Mall of GA was favorable, despite several hiccups in the purchase process. However, given the evidence noted in the comments that follow, we must revise our review to one that is most unfavorable. We recommend this dealership be avoided if at all possible.

been a year

..and the dealership has a machine call us (during dinner) and try to sell us another car. Poor ethics.

Service

We had to take the truck in for a warranty problem. (An airbag wire was cut by the driver's seat movement. Bad design there.) We were promised the work would be done by a certain time, and our schedule required this promise to be met. They failed to meet this promise. They even failed to begin the work until after the deadline had passed!

From good to bad

Given the post-sale problems we've experienced with this dealership, this review of Honda Mall Of GA has been moved from good to neutral and now to bad. Not only can we not recommend this dealership, but we encourage you to avoid it.

In addition to the problems above, we had numerous, minor problems with the post-sale, pre-delivery service. During the installation of our dealer-installed accessories, the turn signal fuse was blown (we had to drive back to the dealership to fix it right after taking delivery). At least two of the accessories simply weren't installed. The claim at the time was that they couldn't be installed in conjunction with other, already installed options. The claim was patently false. It took them more than two days (nights, actually--they wouldn't work during the day) to install the options. Having already surrendered our trade-in, we were stuck with a pathetic rental in the meantime. (They do seem to pay for the rentals, though, in such cases.)

In addition to the unsolicited, automated, recorded phone calls to buy a new vehicle, we have been inundated with junk snail mail. Now, they're requesting an email address because they want to spam us that way instead. Naturally, we refused this idiotic request--especially in light of overwhelming evidence of how our personal information has been abused by them.

borderline incompetent service

We had warranty work to be done (the airbag wire was cut in half by the seat!), so we had to take the truck back to the dealer. Big mistake. Besides keeping it overnight again (do they not have any first and second shift servicemen?), they somehow broke one of the power seat adjustments. I don't dare take it back to them to fix, else they break more stuff. Stupid morons, they are.
